Get senior design and build without a hiring process. When you’re ready to hire, we can help train your new designer.
The team that designs it also builds it. Nothing gets lost in a handoff, and there’s no dev shop to chase.
You deal with Pizza and Castelin directly from the first call. There’s no account manager in between.
One flat fee a month. Pause or cancel monthly, because we’d rather earn every month than lock you in. Your work lives in your Figma and your repo from day one.
“It was a seamless experience collaborating with Pizza and Cas. They brought a fresh perspective, aesthetic, and multi-disciplinary expertise to the project, providing additional value to the project. Their professional approach and smooth communication made a complex process feel effortless. I can’t recommend them highly enough as design partner!”
“It was a great experience working with Pizza in getting our new website design up. Pizza is professional, responsive and helpful. All we had to do was hand him the designs and vision, and he executed it seamlessly.”
“What sets Pizza apart is his strong grasp and appreciation of business priorities. He understands the importance of aligning design decisions with overarching organizational goals and always strive to deliver designs that not only look exceptional but also drive measurable results.”
“Pizza always amazed me with his business insight and brilliant techniques for solving problems. He understands complicated matters even when outside of his direct area of expertise.”
“His ability to inspire and motivate his team is unmatched, and his leadership style fosters a collaborative work environment that encourages creativity and innovation.”
One call to start. You give us access to your Figma and your repo, and we agree on what to work on first.
Send requests the way your team already works: Slack, email or your tracker. No design process yet? We’ll bring ours. You decide what comes first.
We design the flows and screens in your Figma. We check accessibility and follow your design system.
Updates come async, with calls for the big moments. We refine the work in short rounds with your feedback.
We build it in your codebase and get it live with your engineers. Then the next item starts. Each month you decide to keep going, pause or stop.
I’m Pizza Yap, a product designer based in Singapore.
I’ve spent 18 years in product design, most recently leading design at LottieFiles and before that building experiences and design systems at ShopBack and Grab. I like working closely with founders and small teams where decisions move quickly.
Now I design and build for founders who need senior design every week but aren’t ready to hire for it. I use AI to move faster, and I make the design calls myself.
I’m Castelin Tan, a product designer based in Singapore. I started in 2008 making e-learning for banks like Maybank and Hong Leong Bank, then moved into UI/UX for AIA, OCBC, Ascott and Yokogawa.
I like working with teams in specialised fields like finance and insurance, where domain details shape every design decision. AI helps me learn a new domain quickly, so I get to the right design sooner.

Funded startups, seed to Series B, that have launched and have engineers but no senior designer. We’re based in Singapore and work remotely with teams in the US and elsewhere. Not a startup, or not launched yet? Start with a project. Projects are open to any team.
We work mainly remotely and async. Day to day, updates come through Slack or email, and the work lives in your Figma and your repo. On the days we work with you, we overlap with your team for up to 3 hours, in your morning or your afternoon, whichever your team needs. That’s when we take calls and quick questions.
Two days of senior design and build every week, which is about 8 to 9 days a month. Spend them on whatever is next on your list: a new feature designed and built, a messy flow fixed, a UX audit or design system upkeep. If that’s not enough, Dedicated gives you 4 days a week.
You can, and once you’re ready, you probably should. Product designer roles on YC’s job board mostly list US$120–250K a year before benefits (October 2026). Part-time is two days a week from both of us for US$120K a year. That’s 4 person-days a week, against a full-time hire’s 5. In return there’s no hiring process, and one team covers design and code. When you do hire, Pizza has managed design teams before, so we can help train your new designer. They start with everything we made, because it’s already in your Figma and your repo.
The studio’s two founders, Pizza Yap and Castelin Tan. You talk to us directly from the first call, with no account manager in between.
The retainer is billed monthly, and you can pause or cancel monthly. Tell us in Slack or by email. Nothing needs handing back, because the work is already in your accounts.
It stays with you. From day one we design in your Figma and build in your repo, so nothing lives only on our side. If you pause or stop, your team picks up right where we left off.
Book a call and tell us what you’re building. If the retainer fits, we agree on what to work on first and a start date. If a project fits better, we agree on scope, timeline and a fixed price before any work starts. We run at most 2 retainers at a time, and Dedicated counts as two, so sometimes there’s a wait.
Yes. We can pick up an existing design, design system or codebase and build on it, or start fresh if that’s faster. New web builds default to Next.js on Vercel, and native apps use Expo (React Native) or SwiftUI. Framer is available for websites on request.
It’s documented for your AI coding tools as well as your team. Tokens, components and usage rules live in files that tools like Claude Code and Cursor read, so the UI they generate starts from your system. On a retainer, we keep yours up to date.
We price by where your company is based, in line with local rates for senior design and build. Singapore prices are for companies based in Singapore. Companies based anywhere else pay in US dollars.
